Even if you acquire a signed player for the second time and beyond, the signed player will not disappear from your roster and can still be switched with his regular version.

 

Go to the Home screen and press [Prime Players], then tap on a player and select [Details]. There should be a switch mark in the bottom left corner of the card; tap this to switch between the regular and signed versions.
